Write to congress today!

The U.S. Department of Justice finds evidence that warrants an investigation by Congress. Send Congress your message of support for an investigation.

Dear Senator,

We are writing with our deep concern over the impending sale of Mills College, in Oakland, California. Given that the value of Mills’ assets is estimated be in excess of $1billion, this “deal” is not an acquisition—and certainly not a merger—it is purely a gift. Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, will acquire Mills for no more than the value of its debt—just over $30 million. In light of data documenting Mills’ solid financial standing, we believe the Mills College Board of Trustees has been misled by President Elizabeth Hillman and, in allowing this “merger” to move forward, has subsequently failed to execute its full duties. We ask that you join us in fighting for Mills, before it’s too late.
